The collection of periodicals in hardcopy is located on the first floor of the Library building. Journals are kept in specialised furniture consisting of book-cases with plastic display cassettes, which allow storage of the bound volumes inside the boxes and at the same time the display of the most recently published issues. The older issues of journals are kept in the archive in the computer room or in the Retinger House. Information on which issues are stored in the archive can be found inside the box containing a particular title or in the library catalogue. The Collection of periodicals in hardcopy currently consists of 170 titles.
